Benefits of SASBCP Membership

 

The South African Society for Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (SASBCP) offers membership to all scientists and health professionals in South Africa (and abroad) interested in pharmacology, regardless of race, religion or gender. As non-profitable organisation, its objectives all translate to the promotion of the pharmacological sciences in all sectors of society. The Society is currently vibrant and growing, also with regard to its vision and the implementation of exciting new initiatives.

What will I benefit?

Membership offers you privileges such as:

  • networking with other basic and clinical pharmacologists and clinicians in South Africa and abroad
  • participate in and contribute to our activities, including the WCP2014 (17th World Congress of Pharmacology) to be held in Cape Town in 2014 and PharfA ('Pharmacology for Africa' initiative)
  • a membership certificate
  • substantially reduced congress fees
  • CPD points when attending our annual congresses
  • the right to participate in our annual competitions (where you qualify) - some with significant prizes

Membership Fees?

Best of all, membership will cost you only R200 per annum (or R80 per annum for full-time students) - or new fees as announced.

How do I apply?

You may apply for membership by completing the online application form, whereafter you normally should receive an answer within a few working days. You will receive a tax invoice for the payment of your annual membership fee only after acceptance as member.
