SASBCP management - how it works

The South African Society for Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (SASBCP) is a Section 21 Non-Profitable Organisation, governed by the a Board of Directors. As specified by the Society's constitution, the Board of Directors (at least 7) are elected at an Annual General Meeting (AGM) and act as Executive Comittee (EXCO). The Board of Directors appoints from among itself the Officer Bearers (i.e. president, vice-president, secretary & treasurer) and are assisted by an office assistant.

The current Board of Directors were elected at the latest Annual General Meeting (AGM 04 October 2007) for a term of three (3) years, and the Office bearers appointed at a meeting of the Board of Directors on 18 October 2006. The next election is therefore scheduled for the AGM 2010.
